I'm Max Oden, and I love telling stories. In addition to my years of work for daily newspapers, I've spent my time helping nonprofits tell their story across Central America, the Caribbean, and Japan.
My photographs have been published by TIME Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times, among others.
I've recently relocated back to the United States after 3 years working in communications for an international aid organization in Guatemala. During that time, I was also a contributor to the Instagram project @everydayguatemala. I was previously a staff photojournalist at The News & Advance in Lynchburg, Virginia and the Dothan Eagle, in Dothan, Alabama.
I'm based in Nashville, Tennessee and available for assignments anywhere. Please email- I'd love to talk!
